Business and The Community

Salon Services believes that your business (independent stylist or a full commission salon) is a critical part part of creating culture within the community. We see it consistently with your involvement and commitment to your community!

We partner with manufacturers that align with this concept and Davines is one that takes it to a global example. Their ideal of beauty finds its inspiration in the concept of equilibrium between substance and shape. Our style is inspired by simplicity, harmony and good taste.

By creating “beauty” we want to encourage people to take care of themselves, of the environment in which they live and work, and of the things they love.

Meanwhile, sustainability deals with the responsibility we owe to ourselves, the people with which we work, our customers, and the world in which we live and operate.

“AT DAVINES, WE BELIEVE THAT LIVING A BALANCE OF BEAUTY AND SUSTAINABILITY, WHAT WE CALL “SUSTAINABLE BEAUTY,” CAN IMPROVE OUR LIVES AND THE WORLD AROUND US.”
Davide Bollati, President

Davines has chosen to contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) defined in the UN's 2030 agenda, for the sustainable development of the planet, projecting these goals into our corporate strategy. In their annual report they talk about their sustainable activities and projects with a positive impact, presenting the results obtained and the objectives we set for the following year with transparency.

At Salon Services we too believe in our actions and that is why it is so important for us to contribute to the following charities that create a better world for all of us.

In the spirit of Karen Denmark, Wings of Karen is a resource that shows the strength, courage and beauty of those fighting back at cancer. It is our goal to fund the research, specifically of Dr. Nora Disis
with all aspects of breast cancer, including but not limited to, prevention, detection, and treatment.

HairToStay as a sponsorship and information for those who are at a crossroads with chemotherapy hair loss decisions, as a cooling cap can save your hair during your treatments.

Valley Girls and Guys are a not for profit who sponsor research, blanket funds, Who House, sponsoring Dreams that came True, Valley General Hospital renovation for cancer patients, Solid Tumor immunotherapy clinical trials, high risks Leukemia clinical trials, Ovarian cancer research, targeting invasive breast cancer with a vaccine…and so many other aspects of support with cancer.

Justice and Soul empowers trafficked and at-risk young women and men to become confident and
self-sufficient individuals through professional training in cosmetology in Phnon Pehn. By employing our expertise in the beauty industry, we provide hope and restoration through vocational training in cosmetology (hair, makeup, nails and skin care). With these new skills and increased self confidence, survivors will be able to earn a sustainable living to keep them from returning to
trafficking for survival.

These are just a few examples of the multiple avenues that are a part of the community at large. Whatever you do make sure to be a part of your community by giving in whatever way you can whether that be donating your time to cut hair at Seattle Children’s hospital (like George’s sister who is a cosmetologist) or hanging art up in your salon from a local artist.

We want to thank you for creating culture for the community at large. Hairstylist and Skin Therapist ROCK with their generosity and time in commitment!

Sincerely,

Sydney Berry & George Learned
