04.10.2017

Australian born, Tim trained under the creative forces of Melbourne’s top salons, learning classic techniques in cutting and styling before moving abroad to North America.

Tim’s career has taken him behind the scenes at fashion shows in North America, the UK, and Australia, as well as on photo shoots, educating salons and being a platform artist for our industry.

What inspires you to work with KEVIN.MURPHY?

I really connected with the natural plant science that Kevin uses to create his brand and knowing that it performs the way that I need a product to. Why I chose to work with Kevin is simple. He is such a grounded man who cares about fashion, the environment, and has backed up his beliefs with products that produce the results that I was looking for as a stylist.

We are so excited to see you at Trifecta! What will you be showcasing on stage?

I’ll be featuring looks that inspire me at the moment. It will be a collection of looks that are on the pulse of what is happening with fashion right now.

What exciting things does KEVIN.MURPHY have planned for 2017?

CUT.ME/COLOR.ME class is designed to connect CUT.ME and COLOR.ME with specific haircuts and color to match. This is a class where the stylist walks away with complete looks they can execute on clients.

BEDROOM.HAIR, a new KEVIN.MURPHY product- Flexible texturizing hair spray, shine, and hold at the same time.

Favorite KM products you can’t live without?

Personally, I can’t live without STIMULATE.ME WASH/RINSE, ROUGH.RIDER, and FULL.AGAIN. Professionally, I need the whole line, it’s that simple.

What advice do you have for stylists and aspiring educators?

I’m going to keep this simple:
1 - Work smarter, not harder.
2 - Try everything and focus on what you excel at.
3 - Remember, you can never fail as long as you are learning.
4 - Find someone that inspires you and aim to inspire others.
5- Find a mentor and mentor a younger stylist.
