2020 was like no other year, and some of us would argue that 2021 hasn't been that great either, so we are happy to see them both go. With 2022 present it gives us more reason to focus on the inspiring, the good, the positive and the possibility of the future. 

At Salon Services instead of writing a New Year's resolution we ask each of our team members (including myself) to have a POWER WORD for the coming year. This consists of a single word that encapsulates what one wants to focus on. It also is a theme or overarching focus for the year ahead. It should resonate within your core foundation as a human being, what you want more of, what you want to focus on, or what you need to improve on. Bottom line, it is a way to set your intention for the year ahead. Lastly, it provides an anchor and encourages you to consciously (and subconsciously) consider this power word when making decisions - what you want more of.

I view this word as having a two fold mission, one as a personal power word and the second is a Salon Services power word - since I am both. 

Personally, as an individual, my purpose is to contribute to the common good and serve all. Professionally, as Salon Services, my purpose is to be viewed as a human organization made of individuals working together in support of an inspiring common purpose...we are the BEAUTY BUSINESS OBSESSED!
