In 2014, Davines created the I Sustain Beauty initiative to get salons involved in sustainability and activism. This year, Davines is bringing greater awareness to the I Sustain Beauty initiative in North America and is asking professional salons and spas to get involved in upgrading the environmental, artistic, and social value of their area.


Each year, they feature stylists who are making a positive impact in their communities. One salon opened up a youth center in their salon after hours. Another decided to open a school to train interested applicants from the surrounding area, giving them a way out of poverty. Watch one of their latest features on “Beauty Blessings,” a Texas initiative bringing services to those without access.


Salons and spas can participate by joining a project or creating their own. Distributors can design an original initiative or contribute to an existing project that collaborates with a non-profit organization.

Join the movement by submitting a project on the I Sustain Beauty website by June 30 to be considered for this year’s round of submissions.
