Last Call: How to Sell Holiday Retail

Is your salon all stocked on holiday retail but lacking in the ideas department on how to sell it? The good news is that you’ve decided to participate in the holidays, which is better than doing nothing at all. If you’re doing nothing, you’re missing out on a lot of opportunities.

Let’s face it, not everyone is going buy from you, but don’t cut out that percentage of people that will purchase last minute during their holiday shopping scramble! We’re offering a few tips on how to sell and position holiday retail items in the salon.

The Basics

Everyone has their holiday retail displays out now, but that doesn’t mean every holiday kit should be on the floor, though. Make an attractive display with one set and keep the extras in back, just to reduce clutter.

If you’re not already promoting your holiday retail sets through email blasts and social media marketing, the best time to start is now. If the holidays come and go and you haven’t sold everything, you can always repurpose your holiday gift sets in a New Year’s Special promotion or unpack your kits and sell the items individually.
