Pre-Covid….Post Covid….
We recently read the below article that we wanted to share, as well as our insights:

“We already know that Victoria Secret has declared bankruptcy. Zara has closed 1,200 stores. Chanel, Hermes and Rolex have stopped production. Nike is getting ready for stage two of redundancies. AirBnb founder says that due to the pandemic, 12 years of effort have been destroyed in 6 weeks. Starbucks
has announced the permanent closure of 400 stores.

And the list goes on…
Five months of the pandemic have created many debts, many friends and family are out of work, jobless and ten of thousands of businesses are out of business.

If the company you work in continues, without pay reduction or dismissal, treat it well!

We face a pandemic that cannot be controlled. 2020 is about survival. Leave aside daily complaints and stop moaning. Be grateful and responsible for what you have. And look after each other and the communities we live in.

We face uncertain times, it's not easy for anyone. So let's all support each other. Spend local. Help your friends’ businesses whenever you are able to. Help keep small businesses in your community going.”

With this said we believe consumers have already created a new reality that will last for quite some time, even post covid that we can already learn from. So what does that look like…

Social: Be engaged as much as possible and create gatherings online (just like restaurants are doing take out dining). Some examples are to illustrate a curly look, how to do the perfect blowout, or how to do skin care. The list of possibilities is endless. Be creative!

Online Shopping: We all saw it when we were on lock down. Your clients came to your website to see how they could support you.
